Steve Blake made huge leap from backup to starter last year. He got recognision around league for running his team Denver Nuggets till Western Conference Playoffs. His steady and smart play earned him spot on top 10 most desirable free agents of this summer. So while Denver Nuggets were happy they found and helped Steve Blake to emerge, it might cost more millions for organization to keep him. Nuggets brought Luke Ridnour not as replacement to Steve Blake but rather as insurence if he decides to leave. Free agency is 4 days in now and none of free agents agreed to sign with new teams, neither Blake. This make Denver Nuggets feel optimistic about possibility to get point guard back.

“We have two Mid Level Exceptions to spend this summer, and one of them will be definately used to resign Steve Blake”: said GM Tomas “Its not know how many years exact it will be, but it will be long contract as we thinking to lock Steve for years to come”

Steve Blake is loyal player and already stated before he would like to remain a Nugget as he found perfect fit with this team.

In other news New jersey Nets contacted Denver Nuggets about availability of Antoine Walker and it was not 1st time C2C Champs aproached GM Tomas about service of veteran shooting guard. Acording to one source deal wasnt finalized.
